This full size violin has no label in it, but it is certainly European, about 100 years old at least. Length of body 14 1/8. Nut to bridge: 12 7/8. The scroll is grafted onto a highly figured maple neck. Two corners are chipped, some edge chipping.
Some loose seams, which can be easily glued. A crack in the back has been fixed solidly, with what looks like a thin strip of canvas or a very finely shaved strip of maple on the inside. A short wing crack (about 1/2) in treble side f hole. The item "Old European Violin 4/4 needs set-up" is in sale since Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
